A search and rescue operation is underway in Behchokǫ̀.
RCMP say 54-year-old Ralph Beaulieu was not at a pre-arranged meeting point to get picked up from his cabin south of Behchokǫ̀. Police went to do a wellness check and found he was not at his cabin either.
Police searched the area for Beaulieu but were unable to locate him.
"The search for Ralph Beaulieu is on-going with the assistance of CASARA and Yellowknife Ground Search and Rescue," said NT RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Matt Halstead. " Anyone who has seen Ralph Beaulieu or may have picked him up on the highway south of Behchokǫ̀ is asked to contact the Behchokǫ̀ RCMP.
"Anyone who has information about the whereabouts of Ralph Beaulieu is asked to contact the Behchokǫ̀ RCMP at 867-392-1111 or Crime Stoppers at http://www.p3tips.com. In the event of an emergency call, 911."
