The Yellowknifer is published every Wednesday and Thursday, serving the Capital City of Yellowknife, NWT.

Established in 1972, Yellowknifer is published twice weekly (Wednesdays and Fridays) in the territorial Capital. In addition to being headquarters for the territorial government, Yellowknife has a strong federal presence.

Equally important it is the centre of mining activity in the North and a major transportation centre.

Yellowknifer is recognized as one of the better community newspapers in Canada in its circulation class and has been a consistent winner in regional and national Better Newspaper competitions. It focusses entirely on local news and issues providing comprehensive coverage of community issues, hard hitting news reporting, excellent photography and feature coverage, investigative reportings and strong editorials.
