More changes as Tahera formulates plan

Kugaaruk/Pelly Bay

There are more changes afoot at Tahera Diamond Corporation as the company seeks to put together its restructuring plan in the wake of going under creditor protection in January and shutting down mining operations at its Jericho mine site in February.

Tahera has asked Toronto-based financial advising firm Blair Franklin Capital Partners Inc. to contact interested parties who might buy Tahera in whole or in part.

Four directors of the company - Andrew Adams, Patrick Lavelle, Robert Dickson, and Gary Jones - have resigned from their positions - a move Tahera says is a result of its restructuring plan.

New college admin assistant

Chris Greek is settling in well to her new job at the Norman Wells Aurora College Community Learning Centre.

"She started in late January," said Dudley Johnson, regional co-ordinator for the college in the Sahtu. "She's been excellent so far."

Greek moved to the community from Nova Scotia with her husband after he joined Matco.

"She'd worked for a community college for seven or eight years before coming here," he said. "She's been a great addition."
