Bye bye birdie The annual Christmas Bird Count recorded fewer migratory birds and a rise in predator bird species in Yellowknife last month. The two most common bird species in town, willow ptarmigan and ravens, are both down from last year's tally. Other species to make the latest list include the gyrfalcon, Northern goshawk, the whiskey jack and the European house sparrow. What is your favourite bird to watch in winter and why? Agree?
