Desire-Tesar, two others, arrested in connection to gun thefts

Beau Desire-Tesar was placed into custody in Westlock, Alta. and transported back to Yellowknife, stated an RCMP news release issued Thursday morning.

A warrant for the arrest of Desire-Tesar was issued following the theft of firearms and jewellery at a Rivett Crescent home over the Thanksgiving weekend. Earlier this week RCMP said their search for Desire-Tesar had extended into Alberta, where he was eventually apprehended.

:Desire-Tesar was arrested in Westlock, Alta. under the outstanding arrest warrant issued October 12, 2018 and extradited to the Northwest Territories. The warant was for multiple charges including theft over $5000 and fire arms related charges," stated the release.

the release states that Desire-Tesar is in custody and is scheduled to appear in court November 2. Another man, Toufic Chamas had previously been arrested in relation to the case.

Two others have been arrested in relation to the incident. Todd Vatcher, 27, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime. Francois Parisella, 37, has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Accessory after the fact.

RCMP have recovered seven firearms abut warn that 'some firearms' and ammunition have still not been recovered.
