Frenzy on Finlayson

A woman is in custody after driving a van into multiple vehicles and then attempting to flee on foot, according to RCMP.

"She was driving a dark brown van up Finlayson, going southbound, looks like she went off the road and crashed into a number of other vehicles," said RCMP Const. Harrison Teed. "A passerby pulled in behind her so that she couldn't flee in the vehicle. It looks like she tried to leave on foot."

Const. Teed said that once the lady attempted to run from the scene once her vehicle was boxed in outside of 6211 Finlayson Rd. A number of residents chased after her before RCMP were able to make an arrest shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

"A few people chased her down the road here and we ended up arresting her, so she is arrested now pending an investigation," said Teed.

Teed said that it is too early to say if drugs or alcohol were a factor. There were no injuries reported.
