Funding was announced for four projects and various highway fix-ups across the territory on Thursday by the federal and territorial governments.

Highways 1, 3, 4, 7 and 8 will be fixed up, along with various community access roads and winter roads; there will be updates to roads and ditches in Nahanni Butte, as well as the installation of culverts and infill for low-lying areas. Trout Lake is getting a cold storage garage, Colville Lake is getting a new youth centre and Wrigley is getting a new sewage vacuum truck.

Total contributions for the projects are $72,125,000 from the federal government, $23,875,000 from the GNWT and $354,700 from community governments.
