NNSL Media

Publisher of seven weekly newspapers and various specialty publications circulated throughout Northwest Territories (Yellowknife) and Nunavut (Iqaluit)

Author Archives: Jonathan Gardiner

After a tough break looking for employment in Alberta, I moved to Yellowknife
in 2017 and became a multimedia journalist in 2022. I enjoy the networking side of my job, and I also aspire to write my own book one day. In my personal time, I play video games and bake, mostly cake.

Xiaoyi Yan, left, literacy outreach centre coordinator, says, “The mission of our programs are to help students to learn (about) worlds from words.” Kristina Carlson, right, a teacher with Inclusion NWT, adds, “A lot of what we try to do is build confidence and empower students to be able to participate fully in the world around them.” Jonathan Gardiner/NNSL photo
