Yellowknifer correction

January 16, 2018 - Yellowknife

There was an error in the photo feature in last Wednesday’s Yellowknifer (“A day at the Fieldhouse,” Jan. 10). Don Stewart was mis-indentified. He was the organizer of New Year’s Kick Off soccer tournament. Joe Acorn is president of the Yellowknife Bay Sundogs Soccer Association. Yellowknifer regrets the error and any embarrassment it may have caused.

Incorrect information appeared in the Nov. 24 edition of Yellowknifer (‘By the numbers’), Richard Makahoniuk was the fifth leading scorer in the mixed broomball league. As well, Logan Shupe scored the second goal for Sir John Franklin in the Wade Hamer Challenge Cup boys game (‘Everyone’s a winner this year’). Yellowknifer regrets any confusion or embarrassment these errors might have caused.
