City announces Santa Claus parade winners

The City of Yellowknife has announced the top three floats in the Santa Claus parade held Nov. 23.

The winners are: 

1st place: 440 Squadron – Canadian Armed Forces

2nd place: Flash Pilot Car and Hot Shot Services Ltd.

3rd place (tie): Fuel Flo Petroleum and Logistics and KBL Environment

440 Squadron will also receive the not-for-profit Roland Gosselin Ho Ho Ho Award, a $500 prize, according to the city.

This year’s parade theme was “The Grinch” and the annual event featured more than 35 fantastic floats, according to the city.
