Board members sought

Atuqtuarvik Corp. is looking to find a pair of committed individuals to fill two vacancies on its board of directors.

Candidates must be beneficiaries of the Nunavut Agreement and be at least 18 years of age to be considered.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate experience and ability in business ownership or management, board experience and corporate governance, financial literacy, economic development and strategic planning and knowledge of financial services.

Candidates must also agree to undergo and pass both a security clearance and a credit check.

Hunter harvesting

The Rankin Inlet Hunters and Trappers Organization board has announced harvesting is open for hunters for the following – 10 young seals $100; 10 adult seals $150; 21 total tuktu male adult three per hunter, $1000; arctic char $25, with 100 to be caught; ptarmigan $20 with 50 ptarmigan to be caught. Only those who signed up for harvesting are eligible to be paid.
