Inuvik drug bust yields cocaine, suspected opioids and $15,000

The Inuvik RCMP have seized cocaine, pills suspected to be opioids and $15,000 from a recent drug bust.

The police executed a search warrant at a local hotel on March 7 in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.

As a result of this investigation, the Inuvik RCMP have charged Abubakar Bakal, 30, of Edmonton, with the following offences: possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of a controlled substance (opioids).
