A house in Fort Simpson sustained major damage after a fire engulfed the residence on June 29.

The RCMP note that in spite of the damages no one was injured.

Fort Simpson RCMP attended the residence at approximately 7:30 a.m. on June 29 to suppress the fire.

What caused the fire is not yet known as an investigation between the RCMP and NWT Fire Marshal’s office is ongoing.
