Yellowknife RCMP ask public for surveillance footage after alleged shooting

Yellowknife RCMP are investigating an apparent overnight shooting that occurred early Sunday morning.

On April 21, at approximately 3:17 a.m., police stated they received a complaint of a shooting near 52 Street. Upon their arrival, officers encountered a man who had what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital and is now in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time and police are asking anyone with surveillance cameras or doorbell cameras with footage from the area of Bison Apartments or Bison Estates from 2:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. April 21 to reach out to police. Police say they can provide memory sticks to transfer the video footage for their use.
