Child luring and sexual exploitation charges laid against Iqaluit man

A 55-year-old Iqaluit man is facing charges in relation to child luring and sexual exploitation following an RCMP investigation.

Craig Dunphy has been charged with two counts of luring a child, one count of procuring a child and one count of sexual exploitation of a young person, according to Iqaluit police.

The Mounties say the investigation is ongoing. They encourage anyone who may have information or who may have been a victim to please come forward to the Iqaluit RCMP in person or via phone at 867-979-0123.

The newly-formed Special Victims’ Unit was involved in the investigation.

A court date for the accused has not yet been set.
