Welcome to beautiful rainbow sunny Cambridge Bay, where the sun still shines even on cold days. This time of year the sunsets are the most amazing. Sundogs and rainbows are so visible.
Ice is thicker now on the bay, lakes, rivers and the Arctic Ocean. A nice smooth ride on the ocean gives us peace.
Residents are busy ice fishing and checking fish nets, caribou hunting also. There has been sportshunters hunting for bull caribou. Usually bull meat is used for dog food as it is not much consumed by Inuit. Our hunters know when tuktu are close by.
Many wolves and foxes have been seen in town and at the dump. Be careful when out walking or riding, carry a stick if you have to.
Christmas will soon be here in the blink of an eye. Many Christmas activities are being planned once again for families to enjoy the holidays. Will write about them next time. First Christmas event is the Annual Christmas Bazaar scheduled for Saturday, November 17.
God Be With You Son.
