The Clyde River RCMP is advising the public that an active shooter incident that occurred on Thursday morning has been brought to a peaceful conclusion.
Residents can now leave their homes without fear.
The suspect is currently in custody and over the next several hours, “a significant police investigation” will take place, the Mounties stated in a news release.
The RCMP extended thanks to members of the community for their cooperation during the ordeal.
