Residents of Kugluktuk gathered at the community complex on Remembrance Day to pay tribute to Canada's military veterans and deceased soldiers.

As part of the program, Miranda Atatahak read Laurence Binyon's poem For the Fallen, written during the early stages of the First World War. One stanza reads:
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
