AROUND THE SOUTH SLAVE: Gateway Jamboree to celebrate its 20th edition

Enterprise

The Enterprise Gateway Jamboree will be back for its 20th edition from Aug. 10 to Aug. 12.

The Gateway Jamboree is the biggest annual event in the community.

In recent years, attendance has been close to 500, a notable number because the hamlet itself has just over 100 residents.

Many of the participants come from Hay River.

The Gateway Jamboree features a family-friendly day of music, food, games and various events.

It is presented by the Hamlet of Enterprise.

When Enterprise was a settlement, it ran the Gateway Jamboree from 1999 to about 2008. A society ran the event up until last year when the responsibility was assumed by the hamlet.
