Editorial: employment numbers leave North out in the cold

There was a buzz across Canada last week when the jobs statistics for December were released and they showed the country’s economy continues to be on a hot streak. Overall, there were 79,000 new jobs created in Canada, including 24,000 full-time positions. Those were completely unexpected numbers, and economists are still trying to understand them….
