Both the responsible ministers and Tlicho Grand Chief George Mackenzie gave their final approvals last week for the Tlicho all-season road project, which will run 97 km from Highway 3 to Whati.
Once permits are in place, it is expected to take four years to build the road. Fortune Minerals aims to build a 49-km spur to connect its proposed NICO cobalt-gold-bismuth-copper project to Whati and on to the highway system.
