The final project in the Porritt Landing revitalization in Hay River is planned to be complete by the end of the month.

That project is to replace the boat launch concrete ramp.

"The most recent update from the contractor is that they're busy checking the ice thickness and will decide whether to flood for additional thickness prior to the excavator going onto the ice," said Jim Darby, the town's director of recreation, at the Jan. 9 meeting of town council. "The contractor has been informed that the work needs to be complete by the end of January."

The revitalization project, which began in July, has seen numerous improvements at Porritt Landing.
