Hay River braved the stormy weather to celebrate Canada Day with a parade through town on July 1. Crowds of people lined the streets with umbrellas in hand or parked in their cars as floats and dancers made their way through the downtown core. The highlight of the show was undoubtedly Hay River's Filipino Marching Band, which had people dancing in the streets despite the rain.
