Lawyer Michael J. Hardin has been made an honourary member of the NWT & Nunavut Chamber of Mines.
Hardin was awarded the honour for his work in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut ensuring the minerals industry "promote responsible resource development, and achieve the corresponding environmental, economic and social goals," stated a recent news release. Hardin's education in biology, time doing environmental regulatory work with the federal government and career as counsel to the minerals industry have made him an "astute judge of environmental legislation," stated the chamber.
