Properties get break for winter

Coun. Roger Candow asked about unsightly properties at town council's municipal services committee meeting on Nov. 14.

In response to the municipal enforcement report for October, Candow recalled seeing some unsightly properties in the report at one point in time.

"Have they been cleaned up?" he asked.

Ross Potter, the town's director of protective services, noted action against unsightly properties is shut down during the winter because nobody is going to do anything with the properties in the winter months.

"So we'll be doing new inspections as soon as springtime comes and people can actually do work in their yards again," Potter said.
