Three vehicles have allegedly been stolen in Fort Simpson since Monday, RCMP advised in a Wednesday news release.

All three have since been located and investigations are ongoing.

In all three incidents, vehicles were unlocked and keys were found inside.

RCMP are reminding vehicle owners to remove keys from inside the car and always lock unattended vehicles. They suggest removing valuables from the vehicle, or hiding them when removal is not possible. RCMP also recommends parking in a well-lit area for those without access to a garage.

Anyone with information on suspicious activity is asked to call Fort Simpson RCMP at 695-1111, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or text: “nwtnutips” plus your message to 274637.
