Search underway for man last seen in Behchoko

RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 21-year-old man last seen in Behchoko.

Jermaine Joe Camsell was last seen in the community around 5:30 p.m. on July 28. He was reported missing the next day, states a news release from NWT RCMP.

Camsell is described as Indigenous, 165 cm / 5'5" tall, 60 kg / 132 lbs, with a slim build, black hair, brown eyes and slight facial hair over top lip.

He was reportedly wearing black pants, a grey/black wind breaker style jacket, a grey/dark coloured hat.

Police believe Camsell used two kayaks the evening he was last seen. Both have been recovered, with no signs of Camsell in the area, states the release.

Air, water and ground searches are underway. The missing man's family members, along with community volunteers, are helping with the search.
