The victim of a deadly fire that broke out in Behchoko over the weekend has been identified as 41-year-old Vivian Wanazah.

The NWT Coroner’s Service confirmed the woman’s identity to News/North Thursday.

Wanazah was located in a shed early Saturday morning after the Behchoko Fire Department responded to a blaze on a residential property around 1:20 a.m., according to a news release from RCMP.

The exact cause of her death hasn’t been determined yet.

RCMP, the NWT Coroner Service and the NWT Office of the Fire Marshal are continuing to investigate the fatal fire.
