September 7, 1944 - January 18, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Boettger, who left us on January 18, 2024 at the age of 49 (plus 30 years) at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. She departed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Louise Boettger was born on September 7, 1944 to Evelyn and Arthur O'Connor in Brockville, Ontario. She lived a life filled with her passion of baseball (Blue Jays all the way) and hockey interests sparked by her fathers love of the game as well as her love of books and spending time with friends, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A caring and loving individual, Louise Boettger was known for her great kindness, loving spirit, generous demeanour and quirky sense of humour. Whether it was spending time in her community committees, working hard at her work or relaxing with friends, she brought her unique and positive energy to every endeavor.

Louise Boettger is survived by her sons (Kirk and Darcy Boettger) as well as daughters-in-law (Vye and EeWei) and her grand children (Jeremy, Robert, Mallory, Alysa, Esmerelda and Rowena). She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to the SPCA or any other charity for the health, welfare and safety of animals around the world, to which she shared a passion and love for.

May Louise's soul rest in eternal peace. She may be gone from our sight, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
