Stanley Lawrence Waquan-Mercredi went home to be with his Creator on Thursday, February 8, 2024, surrounded by his family. Stan was born in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta on August 15, 1931. A loving father, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend, he leaves behind his beloved sons Stan Jr. (Deborah), Tony (Crystal), Troy (Joni), and his daughters Michelle and Terri (Art), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sisters Margaret, Murial, Dawna and Maureen.
He will join in paradise with his beloved wife April, his parents Louie and Marie, and several brothers, sisters and friends.
Stan was a talented musician, a cherished husband and father and devoted friend. His sense of humor, resiliency, one-liners, and joy in small moments will live on in those who loved him best.
