Kevin Koe two for two

The 2018 Winter Olympics men's curling event is underway and Kevin Koe got off to a great start earlier this week.

Kevin Koe is all business as he prepares to deliver from the hack during action against Italy at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, on Tuesday.

He was set to take on Norway late Wednesday night at 10:05 p.m. MST before taking on South Korea this morning at 4:05 a.m. MST. The big game, though, is tonight at 10:05 p.m. MST when Koe takes on Niklas Edin of Sweden.

Wolfpack in the desert

The Yellowknife Wolfpack bantams are getting set to take on some of the best hockey teams in North America this weekend in Phoenix, Arizona.

The pack are entered in the U14 AA division of the Presidents' Day Invitational where they will start in the round-robin against the Sno-King Jr. Thunderbirds from Seattle, Washington this morning at 9:35 a.m. MST. They'll be back on the ice tomorrow to take on the San Diego Saints from California at 12:10 p.m. with their final game versus the Jr. Ducks Groon, also from California, is on Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m.

If they do well enough, they'll advance to the playoff round, which begins Sunday afternoon.

Modelling the goods

Team NWT's uniform for the 2018 Arctic Winter Games will be officially unveiled on Tuesday.

The uniform was already teased in early January but it didn't have all of the accessories, which include wolf fur trim on the hoods courtesy of the Genuine Mackenzie Valley Fur Program.

It all gets underway at 2 p.m. in the lower section of the 50/50 Mini Mall. Doug Rentmeister, Team NWT's chef de mission, said between 10 and 15 people will take part in the modelling.
