NWT Open attracts 50 players

Tennis NWT’s Open Tournament was held in Yellowknife over the weekend with approximately 50 players from Fort Smith and Yellowknife participating.

Tennis NWT’s Open Tournament was held in Yellowknife over the weekend with approximately 50 players from Fort Smith and Yellowknife participating. 

Slavica Jovic, director and secretary of Tennis NWT, said tennis court conditions were favorable during the event, which spanned five days.

“Weather was great, so we were able to play all 70 matches that were scheduled,” Jovic said.

“We started early rounds on Wednesday, July 24, and played until 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 28”.
