Team NT made their way to the 2024 Canadian Table Tennis Championships in Laval, Que., earlier this month by way of Ottawa and Montreal, where they participated in a variety of training sessions.

They also had a chance to do a little touring.

It was Team NT's first time taking part in the Canadian championships. Kevin Canadien, of Fort Providence, posted a set win in U19 singles competition while Yellowknife's Kathleen Cai and Fort Providence's Karissa Sadowick finished in fifth place in their respective events.

"Throughout the competition, the athletes demonstrated a commitment to excellence, focusing on executing successful strokes, refining their techniques and developing strategic gameplay," NWT coach Thorsten Gohl stated. "We had an amazing time."

Sadowick and Cai's travels didn't end there as they made their way to Quebec City for the national girls table tennis camp.
