The Dettah Ice Road which runs between Yellowknife and Dettah closed at noon on April 16.
The GNWT Department of Infrastructure announced the closure on its Twitter account on Friday stating that the route will be no longer be taking drivers.
The road opened on Dec. 24 which remains consistent with its 20 year average.
