An employee of the Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) was transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital after an injury at the Jackfish Generating Facility on Friday afternoon.

A news release Friday evening indicated that the incident has been reported to the Workplace Safety and Compensation Commission and that no further information about the employee would be provided at this time.

“Our thoughts are with our employee and his family,” NTPC President Noel Voykin said in the release. “We will provide them with whatever support we can at this difficult time.”

NTPC is a subsidiary of NT Hydro and is wholly owned by the GNWT.
