There will be no election for La Commission Francophone Scolaire du Territoire Nord-Ouest (CSFTNO) as Yellowknife’s three candidates will be acclaimed. Two candidates running in Hay River also make the board one person short of the three regional representatives needed.

“There will not be elections at CSF this year,” said Yvone Careen, superintendent of CSF. “There were three that have been acclaimed and two in Hay River. We will not have to go through the election process and we will seek out a third candidate for Hay River.  ”

Yellowknife candidate Christian Marcoux, confirmed this week that he has dropped out. This leaves Simon Clouthier, Marie-Eve Martel, and Jean de Dieu Tuyishime acclaimed in Yellowknife for the city’s three spots on the board.  In Hay River, Nicole Fournier and Sarah Poitras will be acclaimed with one seat remaining vacant.
