The City is advising residents avoid the highlighted area on the map due to thin ice.

The City of Yellowknife is warning snowmobilers and pedestrians that there is thin on Frame Lake.

According to a news release, ice near the Co-op underpass is thin and it is recommended that residents exercise caution or avoid the area.

Any patch of ice that changes colour from clear to milky, that is covered in water or is around rocks or protruding objects should be avoided as warm temperatures expedite the melt.
