The chief public health officer (CPHO) has allowed for the main office building to begin serving the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, starting next week.

"Additional measures remain in effect to ensure city hall operates safely, following capacity and other restrictions that are in place," states the news release. "The city asks visitors to respect the guidelines set out by the CPHO, follow all signs in place at city hall, and not enter if they feel unwell."

Residents entering city hall are still asked to wear a mask during visits.

There will also be contract tracing forms available to fill out both online at and at the city hall entrance.

"Access to city hall will continue to be available via the lower entrance on 49 Avenue only, and visitors are asked to check-in and out with the front desk," the release states. "The city encourages residents to continue accessing city services online by emailing or visiting, wherever possible. The city would like to thank users for their cooperation and patience."

Last July, city hall reopened with limited hours after being closed for three months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
