Crazy for Compost

The City of Yellowknife and Ecology North have been selling 20-litre pails for five dollars out of the facility every spring since 2014. All compost sold is produced locally and has helped to remove 1,500 tonnes of organic waste from the capitols landfill system.

The Pidborochynski family says that the local compost has helped their sunflowers grow eight feet tall and are hoping the pails they got this weekend will add an extra two feet to their flowers this summer.
