Yellowknife residents are being introduced to ethnic cuisine at an unusual time of year.
A food truck, known as Noodo Monster has popped up near Kam Lake, providing traditional Asian dishes to the public.
Opened by Serena Zheng and her boyfriend Will Sun, Noodo monster opened after the two were unable to find a sustainable restaurant location.
The two have found recent success with the truck.
“So far so good,” said Sun with a laugh. “We are getting a lot of good feedback from customers.”
Sun said the location at 5 Coronation Dr. is a temporary location and the couple hope to expand their truck to the downtown area once the summer hits.
