The GNWT launched on Saturday a central website for important information related to Covid-19.

The site compiles information that was previously available on separate websites, such as updates on numbers of cases of coronavirus in the NWT and tests conducted, and travel information.

There are six main sections: People + Family; Travelling + Moving Around; Child Care, School + Learning; Communities + Events; Self-Assessment + Testing; and Business + Work.

The latest updates from the chief public health officer related to health and travel orders are also included in the site.

“All government departments have had to make adjustments to programs and services as a result of COVID-19. It is important for our residents to have a single place to go and find the most up-to-date information and I am confident that this new website will help connect people to the information they need, and make this challenging time a little bit easier on all of us,” said premier Caroline Cochrane, in a news release.

Existing GNWT websites on Covid-19 will still be in operation while redirect links are put in place.
