With the the second instalment of the Great Trail Treasure Hunt, which started June 19, four prizes will be featured across the territory.

This year there are four prizes stashed away in the NWT, including one on Tulita's Two Rivers Trail, one on Inuvik's Boot Lake Trail, one on Fort Smith's Des Nedhe' Trail and one on Yellowknife's Frame Lake trail.

Two-hundred prizes have been hidden along 24,000 kilometres of trail across the country.
The treasure hunt uses GPS coordinates, similar to geo-cacheing, which can be found on the Great Trail Treasure Hunt website.

"Exploring the great trail is a great way to get some fresh air, get some exercise and see our country with family and friends as never before," stated John Geiger, CEO of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.

The contest runs until August 18.
