UPDATED: Fire crews have controlled a fire that broke out at home on Larocque Crescent, off of Range Lake Road, Tuesday afternoon.
The Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) deployed three fire trucks to scene of the blaze, which sent thick clouds of smoke billowing into the air, just before 1:30 p.m.
The blaze caused significant damage to part of the home.
There were no reports of injuries at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. The scene was turned over to the NWT Fire Marshal at 3 p.m.
