IN PHOTOS: Hockey Day in Canada at Somba K'e Civic Plaza

Yellowknifers came out to Somba K'e Civic Plaza in big numbers Saturday for the final day of celebrations for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada.

Travelling in a dog-powered canoe across Frame Lake, Calgary Flames legend and hall of famer Lanny McDonald kicked off the day by bringing the Stanley Cup to the park this morning.

Hockey fans lined up to meet McDonald and other NHL greats, including Paul Coffey and Wendel Clark.

A couple false starts couldn't stop the cup from coming to eager hockey fans at Somba K'e Civic Plaza Saturday.
