Employees earning minimum wage will receive $13.46 an hour starting April 1.

That’s up from the current $12.50 per hour, which was set in 2015.

Education, Culture and Employment Minister Alfred Moses announced the changes on Wednesday.

The decision was made with the help of a committee of business, labour and community representatives created in 2013, according to a news release from the department.

The committee reviews the minimum wage every two years, the news released states.
