One person has been arrested following the sudden death of a 32-year-old man in Fort McPherson.

Early Friday morning, Fort McPherson RCMP responded to a call for service about an unresponsive adult male, a release from the Mounties stated Friday afternoon.

The man was located and pronounced dead by medical personnel.

NWT RCMP are working with the NWT Coroner Services to probe the sudden death. The Mounties’ Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit have traveled to the community to assist with the investigation.

“Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation police will not be releasing any additional information at this time,” the statement read.

More to come.
