Police in Yellowknife have charged two people following an armed robbery at a city convenience store earlier this week.

Yellowknife RCMP appealed to the public in an effort to identify a male suspect they say brandished a knife before robbing the Circle K convenience store, located at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Forrest Drive, early Tuesday.

The investigation led police to a city home on Wednesday evening, according to a news release issued by Mounties Thursday.

Police executed a search warrant, and two people were arrested at the scene.

Police say they are not seeking any other suspects in relation to the armed robbery.

Devon Larabie, 27, of Yellowknife, is charged with robbery and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Maiya Klengenberg, 18, also from Yellowknife, faces the same charges, along with two counts of failing to comply with release conditions.

Both remain in custody.

Larabie is scheduled to appear in court today. Klengenberg is set to appear in court on Friday.
