Salvation Army gets busy with two charity campaigns

Jennifer Forsythe, left, Northwestel store manager, Michael Ward, NWTel associate sales director, Byron Hardy and Darlene Hardy, executive directors of the Yellowknife Salvation Army, James Moulton, Salvation Army business mgr., Mayor Mark Heyck and Paul Gillard, NWTel V.P. gather around the toy bin Tuesday at the Northwestel Retail Centre. They were there to kick off the annual Salvation Army-Northwestel Holiday Toy Drive. The public is encouraged to drop off unwrapped toys between now and Dec. 14 at the Northwestel store downtown. Last year, thanks to the toy drive, some 300 underprivileged children found at least one toy under the Christmas tree.
