A transport truck collided with a traffic pole by Harley’s Hardrock Saloon Monday afternoon.

The truck knocked down the traffic standard at the northwest corner of the intersection of Franklin Avenue and 48 Street at about 2:40 p.m.

RCMP and Municipal Enforcement Division officers and a utility representative were on scene.

City of Yellowknife communications advisor Alison Harrower confirmed that no injuries were reported. The city did not respond to questions of when the downtown traffic lights would be repaired.

RCMP spokesperson Marie York-Condon said that RCMP attended the scene to ensure public safety, but no investigation is being opened as the incident was not criminal.

The toppled pole has since been removed from the intersection.
