Two charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in Yellowknife

The Yellowknife RCMP have charged two individuals with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, according to a news release issued Wednesday afternoon. 

After executing a search warrant at a Yellowknife apartment building on Sept. 3, RCMP discovered drugs, cash, and drug paraphernalia. They seized an undisclosed amount of cash and a substance believed to be crack cocaine. 

Two females, aged 26 and 28, have been charged and are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11 and Oct. 27. One accused is being held in custody while the other was released until her court date. 

Police are not seeking any other suspects in relation to this investigation.
